New Referees-(becomes a referee in the 2024-2025 season)

1. Sign up as a 2024-2025 AYSO Volunteer

2. Take the online AYSO Safe Haven, Safe Sport, Concussion, Cardiac Care and Basic Referee courses-See the Regional Referee tab for more information

3. Sign up and complete the Field Companion course (4 hour course)-See the Regional Referee tab for more information

·         Upon completion of these courses, you are an AYSO Regional Referee!

·         You will be given an AYSO-NOCRA Field Experience Verification form and guidelines to becoming a paid referee (see form link below)

4. Field Experience Guidelines to become a paid NOCRA referee through AYSO Region 154

·        Minimum of 1 year referee volunteer experience

Completed:

 Fall:

            5 10U Center assignments

            5  AR assignments (any level)

Spring:

            3 10U Center assignments

            3 AR assignments (any level)

5. Complete Field Experience Verification form and turn it into the RRA for review and approval

6. Once approved by AYSO Region 154, begin the sign up procedure below to become a USSF Level 8 referee (see below) 

Sign up Track 1 (New AYSO Regional Referees)

1.   Turn in a Field Experience Verification form to the RRA for approval if you became a Regional Referee after June 1, 2017.

2.     Sign up and complete the paperwork to become a member of Cal South and USSF:  CalSouth

3.     Once all the Cal South start up process is complete (including Live Scan clearance), sign up for the online Level 8 modules. This is a great referee review! Level 8 Modules

4. Sign up and complete a Field Companion course through Cal South (check website for trainings in our area. We do have some in Cypress).

5.     Once the online modules and Field courses are completed, and your Field Experience Verification form is signed and approved by Region 154's RRA, you can now sign up and become a member of NOCRA.  NOCRA Sign-Up. Please leave the note: "AYSO 154 Referee" and the badge level you are in the note section. 

6.     If you desire to also be an AYSO Volunteer to officiate any CORE game volunteer assignments, you must fill out a 2021-2022 AYSO Volunteer form and contact the RRA to activate or create a Matchtrak account at [email protected].
